Theres some good news and some bad news. This is very important even though you dont "believe" it is. For your own benefit read this with an open mind (you are open minded right?) without a preconcieved idea that you're safe from hell.
Bad News:
Do you "believe" you will go to heaven when you die? You "hope" you will go to heaven but you aren't really Sure. Well please listen closely because if you havn't made yourself low before God, repenting and putting your trust in the Savior, you aren't in right standing with God.
Wake up call: If you died today you wouldn't be greeted into heaven by God, you'd meet a wrath filled Creator who will throw your guilty soul into hell. This is not a
very fun thought though, so you choose to create a false sense of security in your mind with excuses like "There is no God, therefore I wont be judged", or "god is a god of love and mercy and would never send me to hell".
The fact is though, there is a God whether you believe in Him or not, and hell does exist because a "GOOD" God would not let liars, murderers, and adulters into heaven.
He is Perfect.
He will punish sin justly.
Sin is Transgression of the Law
Have you ever lied? Stolen? Taken the name of the Lord God in vain? Looked in Lust? Hated someone?
These are all very serious crimes deserving punishment. You better be DARN sure you're going to heaven when you die.
Luckily for us we have such a merciful God who has provided a way for us to be saved: Grace
